I wanted to let you know that we appreciate the feedback you shared about the course in Top Hat Module 3!
We read your comments and are thinking about how to improve the course. We are learning too! We welcome more feedback and will work to improve the directions and Top Hat questions for future modules. We will use a weekly checklist in announcements and on Moodle to help keep you on track.
The shared Class Notes, while chaotic, hopefully, will provide a place to share information and analyze it. I agree that we don’t want it to be a “data dump”, and challenge you to integrate the knowledge shared with the course and other resources shared.
Half-semester modules are short. We do not want to bombard you with assignments and want to help you learn concepts and tools you can use later on. Please let us know if you have any questions about projects and assignments. We tried spacing out the projects over the course to provide reminders and make these challenging projects less daunting.
We will adjust the last modules to make sure you have time to work with QIIME and learn about the HPC!
